The pirate Their attempt to return to the Super Bowl eventually ended in failure, but this was again one of the best teams in the NFL and should come back again in 2022 as Tom Brady eventually opted to return after camouflaging toward retirement. But it is clear that time passes here.

This is how much more A pass threw the Buccaneers last season of offense No. 2 most happy passes, the heads. The Bucs were the only team to pass 5,000 passing yards and one of only three with more than 40 passing yards—they also had their ninth most touchdown pass too which is a testament to how awesome this attack is.

Of course, that’s also a team that lost Rob Gronkowski, Antonio Brown and Ronald Jones from last year’s squad and may not have Chris Goodwin to start the season – he’s a candidate for the PUP roster that dropped out of ACL surgery late in the season. Tom Brady distributed the ball so big that the total number of touches not coming back from last season wasn’t actually that high – about 30%, although Gronkowski and Brown lost a decent amount of time, skews the number – but from Obviously, some new faces should appear here.

Russell Gage is clearly something we expect more from after signing from hawks, but even if it was a must-have fictional option, there was still room for someone else to come forward and contribute—or perhaps even several, especially if Leonard Fournett’s well-documented conditioning issues cost him some confidence from the technical staff. There is great value to this crime and more mystery than usual.

biggest question

What can we expect from Chris Goodwin?

When Goodwin is healthy, he’s a top 12 WR, but we don’t know if or when he’ll be healthy this season. Goodwin tore the ACL on December 19, 2021, and while he will likely be ready for the first week, that would be well ahead of the average return time to play for WR coming out of an ACL tear, which is 10-11 months. This schedule can result in an extended absence in the regular season, as well as any time it may take to expedite. Goodwin is one player who can make or break countless fantasy seasons.

One sleeper, one detachment and one bust

If Godwin is not ready for the start of the season, it will be interesting to see how the Bucs choose to replace him. Johnson may be one of the more interesting options. It’s not as fast as Godwin, but can be used as a bigger slots guy as is often the case with Godwin, with the potential to help replace some of what they lost in Rob Gronkowski as the red zone option too. Johnson hasn’t done much in his NFL career yet so it’s a long shot, but I’m keeping an eye on him in camp to see if he’s likely to move into the top three in WR.

I had written pretty much Gage just a man Throughout his football career, so it was a real surprise to see him as a legitimate playmaker in the second half of last season. From Week 12 onwards, Gage averaged 80.3 yards on 8.6 goals per game with three touchdowns, resulting in a pacing close to 1,400 yards representing the best production of his career. Overall he’s played better in almost every way possible, raising his catch rate, yards-per-catch, and yards-per-target on a higher target stake than ever, and now Goal 2 on the happiest assists may be the league’s most offensive offense. At least for the start of the season, if Godwin isn’t ready to go, and even then we’ve seen that there’s room for three or even four passing players to be a relevant fantasy here. Gage has a legitimate WR2 trend in this offense if things get right down the drain.

Of course, what if this is the year Brady finally falls out. We saw signs of that in his final season in New England, but he reclaimed his youth in Tampa, in large part thanks to the impressive weapons he had at his disposal. However, these weapons could be a lot worse this season than they have been in years past, and we’ve seen some defenses show signs of figuring out how to slow this passing game by taking Mike Evans out of the game, like saints I did over the past few seasons. The most likely outcome is that this is still one of the best attacks in the league and Brady remains an evolving fantasy option, but since he doesn’t run at all, Brady must be one of two or three of the most productive passers-by in the NFL in order for it to remain a must-have fantasy option. from him. At some point, this race will end.
